in our Safety, Risk & Emergency Management Department for the position of
Safety & Claims Technician . Range 215: $44.47 - $55.39 Hourly; $7,708.13 - $9,600.93 Monthly*
The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Claims and Risk - knowledge and experience handling workers' compensation claims, tort liability claims, and the insurance industry are critical elements of this position.
- Safety - experience writing safety policies and procedures, interpreting safety regulations, application of best and leading safety practices, and meeting the requirements to train, coach, and develop. The selected candidate will need to be proficient in Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Any combination of experience and education that provides the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying, along with the specific licenses/certifications as outlined below:
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in worker’s compensation, safety, emergency response, and claims administration.
- Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12th) grade, supplemented by college level coursework in workers compensation, risk management, occupational safety and health, or related field. A bachelor’s degree is desirable.
- First Aid.
- CPR.
- Occupational Health and Safety Technologist Certificate.
- Certification in workers compensation administration from a recognized industry provider such as the Insurance Educational Association is desirable.
