THE POSITION
The
Roustaboutposition is key to the safety of the terminals and pipeline operations within the Keyera Liquids Infrastructure. Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Lead the individual will work in an environment that has demanding physical activities and work conditions.
This role is based out of our
Sherwood Parkoffice and follows a
980work schedule. (80 hours over 9 days with an extra day off every two weeks).
Responsibilities
- Support preventative maintenance activities working with Regional maintenance and third party staff as required.
- Rack preventative maintenance.
- Fire water pump tests at terminals and planning of annual flow tests.
- Winterization of site hydrants and spring flush of fire water system.
- Manual and mechanical snow clearing on sites as well as sanding, laying gravel and/or anti-slip materials.
- Site Preventative Maintenance on small equipment including UTV, Skid Steer, and Forklift.
- Yard/Site maintenance including grass cutting, watering site trees and minor road repair.
- Shop and materials, consumables parts inventory & completion of min/max at sites.
- Weekly cleanup of the shop.
- Manage site water discharge in emergencies.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be well-organized, energetic, and service oriented with the following qualifications:
- Class 5 Drivers License.
- Previous experience in similar role.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures and environmental conditions.
- Able to manually lift and handle heavy loads, up to 50lbs.
- First Aid Certificate, Forklift Operator Certification, and/or Skid Steer Operator Certification considered an asset.
- Good oral and written communication skills, ability to collaborate at all levels.
- Ability to understand and use computers and the MAXIMO system.
- Manage customer relationships in a positive and professional manner.
- Demonstrates an ability to maintain focus doing repetitive tasks.
