Job Summary:

The Rolling Mill Operator is responsible for operating the rolling coolant oil filtering machine within the mill production area while leading, supporting, and coordinating activities at Lotte Aluminium Material USA., providing a smooth functioning production.

Job Responsibilities:

Rolling Mill Machine operation, including:

Material handling by crane and preparing the proper material for the product

Utilize the product plan

Collect scraped and rejected material, transport to the designated area, scraping the unusable material

Material feeding into the machine with designated tool

Inputting necessary parameter in control system for the product before machine start

Monitoring the product situation (including the machine condition) during the operation

Controlling the rolling coolant oil level including other subsidiary equipment oil level

Feeding additives into rolling coolant oil, sample taking from coolant oil

Supporting machine maintenance

Rolling coolant oil filter operation

Manipulating the unit based on work instruction

Filter media changing and aids feeding

Collecting the used filter media / filter aids and transporting it to the designated area

Keep work and production area clean

Registration of production data

Measurement and registration of quality parameters in production

Supervision of tools and machine parts

Supporting the customer audits

Documentation of non-conformities which are coming from rolling and corrective actions implementation according to instructions

Adherence of safety and fire protection regulations to ensure your and your colleague’s health

Working according to quality, environmental, safety regulations, standards, control plans, working instructions etc.

Inform the maintenance department and shift coordinators of any discrepancies in machine operations or breakdown

Participate in internal rejection and claim investigations

Other duties and tasks as assigned

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma is required

Vocational school is preferred

User level of computer knowledge – basic level in MS Office (word, excel)

Minimum of 2 years in metal or aluminum industry or equivalent

Knowledge or experience working with or operating manufacturing machines

Physical Requirements:

While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee will be required to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time.

Physically able to conduct inspections on machines and capable of physically moving equipment used for inspections.

Lifting required.

Must be comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment. Must be able to climb stairs frequently throughout each day. There are times when you will need to walk throughout the manufacturing plant floor or walk between buildings, which includes but is not limited to walking outside, walking up and down stairs, walking across metal grates and potentially being in contact with slippery surfaces.
