The 3rd Shift Robotics Welder Operator is responsible for ensuring set-up, operation, and maintaining robotic welding equipment, including loading and unloading materials, monitoring the welding process, inspecting weld quality, and ensuring safety protocols are followed to produce welded metal components according to specifications. Most of the products welded are 4-7 ft tubes weighing up to 40-50 pounds.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and carry/transfer very long steel tubes; work within hot environment, especially during the summer months
- Prior experience in manual or semiautomatic welding processes like MIG welding
- Operates production machinery; Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
- Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
- Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
- Must be willing to move to other areas of the manufacturing plant, if needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE ABLE TO:
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk up to ten (8) hours per day
- Lift, carry, push and or pull 50 lbs.
- Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp, and reach outward frequently
- Reliably and punctually report to work
- Have a thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
- 3rd Shift Hours 10:30 PM 7:00 AM
- Starting pay: $18.50 an hour +$1 shift premium ($19.50 total)- Overtime will be available and required as necessary
