Project Overview
This role supports enterprise-level risk management efforts by assessing risks associated with projects in a large portfolio. The primary objectives of this engagement are:
•To evaluate and risk score all active projects within the organization’s portfolio.
•To assess project risk against established enterprise risk categories and compare scores to the organization’s defined risk appetite.
•To generate comprehensive reports that summarize findings, risk scoring results, and alignment with enterprise risk tolerance thresholds.
Job Functions & Responsibilities
•Review project documentation and available support data in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts to understand potential risks.
•Risk Assessment and Scoring
•Evaluate and score risks for each project across defined enterprise risk categories using a standardized scoring methodology and tool.
•Provide clear, well-documented justification statements to support assigned scores.
•Comparison to Risk Appetite
•Analyze how each project’s risk score compares to the organization’s risk appetite thresholds.
•Identify projects that exceed, meet, or fall below acceptable risk levels.
•Reporting and Communication
•Prepare detailed reports summarizing project-level and portfolio-level risk scores.
•Identify trends, insights, and areas of concern across the project portfolio.
•Present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
Required Skills
•Strong qualitative risk assessment capabilities
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and departments
•Familiarity with enterprise risk management frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000)
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau preferred)
•Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
Education & Experience Requirements
•Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
•1–3 years of experience in risk management or a related role
•Demonstrated experience in risk identification, scoring, and analysis
•Experience preparing risk reports and communicating with stakeholders
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $38.15 - $42.10 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
