The Safety & Risk Manager will serve as the national leader in further enhancing our safety programs, engaging our workforce, continuing to advance our technology solutions, and partnering with our insurance providers. We are seeking a hands-on individual with experience collaborating with associates and leaders in overall safety and risk program management.
TDP Bakery places a significant emphasis on behavior-based safety and is looking for a leader who will fully embrace his/her role in building a culture of safety and accountability.
Responsible for the overall management and direction of safety and risk management for the company.
o Vehicle-specific safety program management, in partnership with Distribution leaders
· Insurance program oversight, communication with broker’s Loss Control Consultant, and claims management (including ownership of litigated insurance claims)
Builds positive and trusted working relationships with peers, customers, vendors, and internal company departments at all levels of the organization.
Supports the advancement of team members through training, certification, and leadership development via projects and initiatives.
Practices exceptional communication by transparently giving (and receiving) authentic feedback. Approaches issues in a constructive manner, as an opportunity for self-improvement and growth. Strives to effectively coach, rather than just correct.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, HSE, or a related discipline preferred.
A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing /transportation environment.
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience leading safety programs, with transportation exposure.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in program administration, preferably with experience leading accident/injury investigations and owning relationship with outside insurance/loss prevention partners.
Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Highly organized. Must be able to triage, organize/prioritize, manage time, and problem-solve in a dynamic environment.
Must be highly proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, while having the ability to administer and own a learning management software.
