Bring Projects to Life — From the Upper Peninsula to the Motor City
At Halo Land Management, we specialize in navigating the space between infrastructure and community. As a Right of Way Agent in Michigan, you’ll be the trusted link between major projects — like utility lines, fiber networks, and transportation corridors — and the landowners whose cooperation makes it all possible.
From rolling farmland in the west, to rural routes in the U.P., to urban properties near Detroit and Grand Rapids, you’ll work with people from every corner of the state. If you’re confident in the field, strong with documentation, and skilled at building rapport — your next opportunity is right here in the Great Lakes State.
•️ A Day in the Life: Michigan on the Move
You kick off the morning reviewing updated plats and parcel data from Washtenaw County. By mid-morning, you're in the field — sitting down with a landowner near Lansing to review an access agreement. Later, you're checking titles in a county database or preparing documents for a stakeholder meeting in Traverse City. Some days end with windshield time across the state — but every day ends with real progress on impactful projects.
Whether in timber country, rural townships, or urban corridors, you’ll be where the work gets done.
What You’ll Do
•Serve as the face of the project to Michigan landowners, community members, and local stakeholders.
•Negotiate easements, access agreements, and surface rights with fairness, clarity, and professionalism.
•Interpret construction plans, ROW drawings, and Michigan-specific land documents.
•Conduct title and land research across Michigan counties, often using public records and GIS systems.
•Deliver and explain agreements, project scope, and compensation clearly to landowners.
•Coordinate with Halo project teams and keep accurate documentation of all activities.
•Make independent, strategic decisions in the field while staying aligned with client objectives.
•Travel extensively within Michigan as project needs dictate.
✅ What You Bring
•Experience in right of way, land acquisition, real estate, or title research, preferably within Michigan.
•Working knowledge of Michigan property law, local government processes, and regional land use trends.
•Excellent communication and negotiation skills — with a focus on respect and transparency.
•Ability to read and interpret plats, deeds, maps, construction drawings, and legal descriptions.
•Organized and independent — capable of managing multiple parcels and projects simultaneously.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and remote collaboration tools (Zoom, Teams).
•Based in Michigan with the ability to travel statewide.
•Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
