The Revenue Manager is responsible for analyzing all elements of revenue generation in State Parks, and making recommendations to maximize occupancy and revenue. Strategies will include – pricing, market demand, competitive market surveys, peak and low demand analysis, user demographics, and inventory management. Demonstrate effective sales skills to support and obtain maximum revenue for booking and the ability to work within an existing reservation and point of sale software system.
· Analyze current revenue performance for the Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites system. Will offer solutions to better position all sites in the market.
· Will develop monthly revenue and occupancy forecast reports for reservable facilities.
· Will develop monthly actuals vs forecast revenue, occupancy, promotion/discount performance report and present to executive and field management.
· Responsible for creating promotions and special packages. Coordinate and work with the marketing team on promotions and strategies to increase occupancy and revenue. Ensure all rates, packages, and promotions are entered correctly in reservation/inventory system. Monitor and measure all results.
· Create and implement up-selling and cross-selling at parks, historic sites, and golf courses.
· Analyze retail inventory and sales. Assist sites on appropriate retail items, volume, and price.
· Will gather and conduct analysis on historical data, current costs, occupancy, market trends, and customer demand, resulting in recommendations of pricing strategies and appropriate fees.
· Research competitors’ operations to include marketing, technology, and amenity/service offerings. Review competitor pricing and availability on a regular basis. Monitor the issues impacting the sites (local events driving demand).
· Explore all opportunities that drive revenue and funding. Will work at increasing and generating bulk sales, group business, film opportunities and new partnerships.
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Revenue Manager
· Proven expertise working with Yield Management Systems, Property Management Systems, Daily Revenue Systems, Central Reservations Systems, and proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of retail point-of-sale systems.
· Highly computer literate with a high-level proficiency in Excel
