Paladin Land Group is seeking an oil & gas revenue accountant to join our team to help us ensure that ongoing revenue accounting transactions are performed in an accurate and timely manner complying with all mandated regulatory requirements, working both revenue distribution and joint interest billing (JIB) and processing operated and non-operated properties. MUST LIVE IN TULSA METRO AREA OR ABLE TO COMMUTE TO TULSA a minimum of 3 days per week. Flex schedule. Team working environment. Primary Responsibilities:
•Work with the accounting and division order team to process the monthly JIB & revenue accounting cycle.
•Data entry into revenue accounting software through manual input and data uploads.
•Process and account for production and revenue generated from Gas, NGL’s, and Oil.
•Analyze purchaser statements and prepare revenue spreadsheet allocations.
•Execute monthly revenue close activities in support of financial reporting, including month-end accruals.
•Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
•Assist with state and federal regulatory reporting, including severance tax filings and analysis.
•Prepare and submit escheatment reports to relevant state agencies, ensuring compliance with due diligence requirements.
•Reconcile monthly revenue processing and distribution to royalty and working interest owners.
•Assist with upstream/midstream revenue accounting analysis and billing, as needed.
•Support owner relations for revenue-related inquiries.
•Assist with documentation and support for annual financial statement audits.
•Contribute to special projects, initiatives, and process improvements.
•Operate relevant software and digital tools efficiently.
•Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure proper allocation of costs.
•Monitor and account for oil and gas production volumes, royalties, and severance taxes.
•Ensure compliance with GAAP, FASB, SEC, and other industry-specific accounting regulations.
•Assist with financial audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
•Prepare accruals, journal entries, and month-end close processes.
Requirements:
5+ years in general accounting, with a minimum of 2 years oil and gas revenue accounting experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including advanced Excel skills (logical and lookup formulas, pivot tables, large data sets). Quorum ODA/OGSYS accounting software experience preferred.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to prioritize competing demands.
