Revenue Accountant

Maven Royalty Management specializes in acquiring mineral and royalty interests in unconventional resource plays throughout the United States. MRM manages a family of funds structured to make direct investments on behalf of its investors. MRM also manages minerals for outside clientele. The company is a Registered Investment Advisor that oversees hundreds of millions in capital and assets.

We are a small, but growing, team that prides ourselves in doing excellent work and making intelligent investment decisions to create superb returns for our investors. We are looking to add depth to our accounting department by hiring a Revenue Accountant.

The ideal candidate is currently an accountant in the oil and gas industry and lives in the Shreveport-Bossier City area of Louisiana or is interested in relocating to the Shreveport-Bossier City area. They are dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoy day-to-day accounting work. They are looking to join a small company and don’t mind wearing a few different hats from time to time.

We will also consider training inexperienced candidates that have an accounting background (from other industries or education).

Relevant skills, knowledge, and experience

·        Understanding of oil and gas accounting

·        Experience with OGSys, WolfePak, or similar O&G software

·        Accounting degree or relevant work experience

·        Detail oriented

·        Solid communication and interpersonal skills

·        Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

·        Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel (PowerBI is a big plus)

Roles and responsibilities

·        Book journal entries in OGSys

·        Prepare account reconciliations

·        Prepare bank reconciliations

·        Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable

·        Record production payments

·        Deposit royalty checks

·        Assist in reviewing property tax statements

·        Assist in financial reporting to investors
