About This Job

Freedom Solar is one of the largest solar installation companies in the United States. Founded in Austin in 2007, our residential business serves Texas and Florida, and our commercial business has a nationwide reach. Our strong reputation in the industry is based on our dedication to quality craftsmanship and outstanding customer service. At Freedom Solar, our mission is to enable our customers to live more powerfully by harnessing clean, affordable, and reliable energy from the sun. We take great pride in living by these 6 core values:

Pride in Quality Craftsmanship

Go Above and Beyond

Put People First

Have a Humble Heart

Give a Damn

Shoot Straight

At Freedom Solar, we have built a customer-focused, turnkey solar installation experience that is unusual in the industry. Unlike most solar companies, we serve our customers through the entirety of their solar journey, from marketing and sales, to installation, to service and warranty coverage. As we have scaled, we have remained true to our startup roots, with dedication, creativity, resourcefulness, and speed inherent to our culture. We care deeply about our customers and the environment, and everything we do reflects that. And we aspire that our team emulates and enhances this culture.

Job Description

The Regional Project Coordinator (RPC) will serve as a critical bridge between customer care and operations within the Houston region. This role is designed to enhance the customer experience by ensuring timely communication and seamless project execution. The RPC will be responsible for facilitating faster response times to customers, managing escalations, and ensuring that all process updates and changes are communicated effectively across teams. This position will play a key role in improving internal communication and ensuring that operations run smoothly from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Communication & Escalation Management:

- Act as a direct liaison between the operations team and customers, ensuring timely updates and responses.

- Assist with managing and resolving escalated customer concerns, collaborating with the Regional Operations Manager (ROM) and Assistant Regional Operations Manager (AROM).

- Follow up on project progress, ensuring that all updates are provided to customers in a clear and timely manner.

Operations Process Management:

- Stay up-to-date with changes in processes, including phrasing, new equipment updates, and any internal escalations or adjustments.

- Ensure the smooth implementation of operational changes, assisting crews and operations with adapting to new systems or equipment.

Project Tracking & Coordination:

- Work closely with the ROM and AROM to track project timelines, milestones, and any issues that arise during the solar installation process.

- Provide feedback and insights to both operations and customer care to facilitate continuous improvement.

Crews Collaboration & Knowledge Development:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with the installation crews to ensure efficient communication and collaboration.

- Continuously learn the evolving solar process, staying updated on best practices and regional developments.

Training & Development:

- Participate in operations-led training to understand the ins and outs of the solar installation process in Houston.

- Utilize this knowledge to provide informed responses to customers and assist with troubleshooting any challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Previous experience in project coordination, customer service, or operations preferred.

- Ability to build rapport with both customers and internal teams.

- Knowledge of solar installation processes or construction project management is a plus.

- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle escalations effectively.

We understand you may be a great candidate without fitting all our preferred experience, knowledge, skills, and attributes. And you may have other skills that are valuable for the role, but which we haven’t thought of. Because we recognize this and we value diversity of thought, experience, and background, we still encourage you to apply.

Freedom Solar is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
