Regional Director of Property Management

We’re currently seeking an experienced Regional Director of Property Management to lead a portfolio of communities and drive operational and financial success.
What You’ll Do:
As the Regional Director of Property Management (RDPM), you’ll provide strategic leadership to a team of Area Directors and site-level staff. You’ll ensure that our properties are operating at peak performance, residents are well-served, and staff are supported and developed. This role is ideal for a proven property management leader who is passionate about affordable housing, team development, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
•Supervise and coach Area Directors and provide mentorship to site teams
•Support hiring, training, and onboarding of new leaders
•Build a positive, accountable, and team-focused work culture
Drive Operational Success
•Oversee performance across your portfolio: occupancy, rent collection, curb appeal, resident satisfaction, and more
•Identify properties needing extra support and guide turnaround strategies
•Assist with bringing new properties into the portfolio
Ensure Compliance & Risk Management
•Monitor compliance with affordable housing regulations (HUD, LIHTC, USDA RD, etc.)
•Work with compliance staff and property teams to proactively address issues
•Help manage high-risk or “watch list” properties
Support Financial & Asset Management
•Review budgets, analyze financial reports, and identify areas for improvement
•Assist in annual budget planning and capital project oversight
•Ensure properties are well-maintained and meeting physical condition standards
Collaborate & Communicate
•Act as a key liaison between leadership and property teams
•Attend owner and lender meetings as needed
•Contribute to company initiatives, events, and policy development
What We’re Looking For:
•5+ years of experience in residential property management, with multi-site and leadership experience
•Strong background in affordable housing programs such as LIHTC, HUD, or USDA Rural Development
•A Bachelor’s degree in business, property management, real estate, or a related field
•Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
•Ability to analyze financial reports and manage budgets
•Willingness and ability to travel regularly within the region
