Job Summary
The Assistant Property Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of property management. This position involves assisting with property leasing, maintenance coordination, and ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property management and customer relationship management, along with proficiency in relevant software such as OneSite.
Responsibilities
•Assist the Property Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the property.
•Handle tenant inquiries and maintain positive relationships with residents.
•Support leasing activities, including conducting property tours and upselling available units.
•Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company policies.
•Coordinate property maintenance requests and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
•Maintain accurate records related to tenant leases, renewals, and other administrative tasks.
•Assist in marketing efforts to attract new tenants and retain existing ones.
•Prepare reports on occupancy rates, tenant satisfaction, and other key performance indicators.
•Pay vendor bills and maintain communication with vendors
•Collect and deposit rent payments into our accounting software
•Manage payroll and perform regular financial reconciliations
Skills
•Knowledge of property management principles and practices.
•Familiarity with AppFolio or similar property management software.
•Strong understanding of Fair Housing regulations.
•Excellent customer relationship management skills.
•Ability to effectively upsell properties to potential tenants.
•Proficient in real estate administrative tasks and office procedures.
•Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
•Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
•Knowledge of Quickbooks Desktop is a plus.
•Ability to speak Spanish is preferred.
