Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Recruiter to join our team. The Recruiter will play a critical role in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent for both construction-specific and office roles, including those in support functions such as Accounting, Business Development, and Human Resources. The Recruiter will also spearhead our university recruiting and cultivate strong relationships with partner universities from which to attract top emerging talent. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside leadership to develop candidate profiles and hiring strategies that give Plano-Coudon the edge in acquiring top talent. Along with recruiting responsibilities, this position affords the opportunity to manage onboarding, play a key role in engagement programming for the company, and coordinate our summer internship and leadership development program for emerging professionals. Key Responsibilities
•Collaborate with hiring managers to define hiring needs, develop ideal candidate profiles, and position descriptions.
•Source qualified candidates using a variety of methods, including job boards, social media, referrals, industry networking, and outreach.
•Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and assess candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
•Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring teams and provide timely communication to all stakeholders.
•Maintain and update job postings across platforms and ensure a consistent employment brand.
•Manage applicant tracking system (ATS) and ensure accurate candidate data.
•Build and maintain a pipeline of skilled candidates for current and future hiring needs.
•Stay current on industry trends, labor market conditions, employment law, compliance, and competitor activity.
•Support onboarding efforts and ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
•Represent the company at job fairs, trade events, and community outreach programs.
•Manage the company’s university recruiting efforts, including attending career fairs, cultivating strong relationships with partner universities, and engaging Operations talent in university recruiting.
•Coordinate the summer internship program. Work closely with Operations team to select candidates and craft meaningful learning and engagement programming.
•Coordinate the company’s entry level professional development program, including collaborating with Operations team members to identify engagement and training opportunities and working closely with learning and development consultant to offer a diverse and meaningful array of programming.
•Work with a cross functional team to plan engagement opportunities to maintain our top workplace culture, such as social events, community service, and wellness programming.
•Support the Human Resources function as the company’s needs require.
Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree required; 5 – 10 years’ experience required.
•Proven experience as a recruiter; must have experience recruiting in the AEC industries.
•Demonstrated understanding of roles in construction management, familiarity with industry terminology, and proven experience overcoming hiring challenges and devising creative sourcing solutions.
•Strong sourcing and networking abilities.
•Willingness to attend evening events as needed for networking.
•Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
•Proficient in applicant tracking systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and other relevant HR software.
•Ability to manage multiple openings simultaneously in a fast-paced environment in a tight labor market.
