Position Description
The Technical Recruiter will be responsible for the timely and effective completion of assigned GIE current and potential career opportunities. He/she will be responsible for project managing the full life-cycle of career openings from the planning stage through the on-boarding of a new employee. In order to do this, the Recruiter will maintain direct communication with hiring managers while following processes and utilizing tools developed by the Talent Acquisition Team.
Essential Functions
•Create a positive candidate and hiring manager experience through problem-resolution, immediate response to hiring manager and candidate's needs, and delivery of exceptional service to both
•Develop and maintain long-term working relationships and communications with hiring managers and senior management to understand key business issues that may have a direct impact on current and future staffing needs
•Build a thorough understanding of the business and its requirements through interaction with operations and apply knowledge to staffing activities
•Establish requisition-specific staffing strategies in order to ensure that openings are filled according to hiring manager needs and expectations
•Ensure that a comprehensive interviewing and assessment process is created for all roles
•Facilitate debrief meetings with hiring managers in order to determine which candidates to pursue
•Manage and/or execute staffing plans using approved third-party agencies, services and tools when and where appropriate in order to ensure that qualified short-lists are delivered
•Source leads and screen candidates to develop a pool of talent for GIE open positions while driving the process from initiation through offer management and pre-start candidate engagement
•Establish strong relationships with candidates to ensure they have a positive recruiting experiences from Gulf Interstate Engineering
•Persuasively promote the GIE organization, role, and culture to candidates
•Ensure the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is the primary system used for recruitment activities across areas
•Provide recruitment updates when necessary
•Remain abreast of information, research, trends and best practices and share with the Talent Acquisition Team
•Work on special projects as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications
•2 -5 years recruiting experience in a corporate environment or
•2 years of Engineering recruiting experience in the oil and gas industry preferred
•Broad knowledge of sourcing strategies to produce a pipeline of outstanding talent and assessment/screening tools to identify potential candidates
•Demonstrated high level of relationship-based selling and negotiation skills
•Broad knowledge of various recruiting techniques (internet, networking, active web search etc.)
•Experience with applicant tracking systems
•Superior verbal and written communication skills
•Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely and cost effectively manner
•Excellent planning and time-management skills necessary to achieve business goals and increase efficiencies
•Able to prioritize, organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
•Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
•Demonstrated ingenuity and initiative
•Ability and willingness to travel for recruiting events as well as able to work a flexible schedule when needed

Education
Bachelor’s Degree preferred (business administration, human resources, or related field)

•Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
•Frequent sitting and operating a computer.

•Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
•Physical demands requirements are at levels of those for sedentary work.
