The Receptionist/Special Projects Assistant will serve as primary administrative support for the front desk and represents the first impression to all visitors and portrays OGI Core values.

- Greet visitors promptly and in a professional manner.
- Ensure visitors sign in, are provided with a visitor badge, and are escorted by an OGI employee while on the property.
- Screening visitors as necessary.
- Answer telephone calls and direct caller to the appropriate employee.
- Ensure the front reception area is always manned and covered by other personnel during breaks or while performing other administrative duties which require work elsewhere in the office.
- Assist with departmental copying, scanning, filing and administrative functions as necessary.
- Participate in special projects and assignments (employee activities committee, employee appreciation events and benefits updates).
- Provide administrative support to various departments, including data entry, filing, research, and document preparation as needed.
- Inventories kitchen, rest room and office supplies. Submits request to Purchasing for ordering.
- Receives, stocks and distributes office and kitchen supplies.
- General cleaning of refrigerator and Keurig each Friday afternoon.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience with MS Office products
- Familiarity with administrative duties

This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role uses standard office equipment. When in the manufacturing facility, all employees are required to wear personal protective equipment to include/hearing protection, and safety glasses with side shields. Protective toe boots are not required when an employee is in designated walkways in the plant.

While performing duties of this job, the person in this position frequently communicates with employees and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee must constantly remain stationary for long periods of time, while operating a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access filing cabinets and operate office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine and laminator.
The employee might occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.
On occasion, may be required to visit the shop that is a non-temperature-controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles that are usually associated with metal fabrication shops.
This is a seasonal position. Days and hours of work vary dependent on the needs of the business, to be discussed and approved by the manager.
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience and/or training.
- Possession of strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and positive disposition.
- Moderate level of computer skills in a Microsoft Office Environment.
- Must be able to work independently, as well as in project team environments.
