The Lab Technician is an integral member of the Trialco Operations team and will report directly to the Quality Manager. This position will be expected to interact with all operations personnel who interact with the Lab and testing of materials.
· Determine what standards to use for alloys.
· Verify chemistries of incoming and outgoing materials.
· Determine chemistries of miscellaneous/test material sent by other companies.
· Assessing the machines in the lab are operating properly.
· Other duties as assigned by manager or upper management.

· Preferred BA in Engineering, Material Science, or another related field.
· Three + years of on the job experience.
· Working knowledge of metal chemistries, scrap handling and melt practices.
· Professional communication skills working with other departments and employees.

Most of the time is spent in the LAB, production plant or warehouse center. The environment will include, working in the plant production floor where there is weather and nonweather related hot or humid conditions, extreme cold, working near moving mechanical parts or equipment.
· The noise level in the work environment is quiet in the office, but can be loud when on the production floor, warehouse or loading areas.
· This position will require the use and wear of all PPE and safety equipment.
