Role Purpose:
The Quality & Safety Technician will be accountable for delivering quality parts to our customers. The Quality & Safety Technician is also responsible for maintaining our ISO based quality assurance program.
- Ensure all stamped components meet internal and externally established quality standards.
- Conduct quality inspections on incoming materials, first piece, in-process components, and finished products using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments.
- Perform data collection and analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement within the manufacturing process.
- Update and maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality management systems.
- Lead quality audits and assist in the development of corrective actions as necessary.
- Utilize vision inspection systems to assess product quality visually.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement solutions effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and measurements to support traceability and compliance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on processes and suggesting enhancements.
- Monitor workplace conditions to ensure compliance with company safety standards.
- Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Assist in developing and delivering safety training programs.
- Maintain safety documentation, including MSDS and training records.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement across all departments.
- 3-5 years of experience in a quality technician role in a manufacturing environment.
- MUST have thorough understanding of quality processes and procedures including Level 3 PPAP, quality auditing, corrective action, and returned good processes.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Familiarity with quality assurance methodologies including QA/QC practices.
- Knowledge of ISO 9000:9001 standards.
- Experience in conducting quality audits and inspections within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.

- Six sigma certification preferred but not required.
- OSHA 30 hours preferred. If the ideal candidate does not currently have this certification, it can be taken while employed.
