Location: Support East Bank Demerara
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Conduct on-site quality inspections and monitor work progress to ensure adherence to quality standards.
•Prepare quality accounts and control reports, documenting all findings accurately.
•Track and report quality-related issues to the Quality Supervisor or QHSE Manager.
•Maintain accurate records of non-conformance reports (NCRs) and follow up on corrective actions.
•Participate in daily meetings to coordinate inspection schedules and resolve outstanding issues.
•Monitor CLASS surveyor punch lists and ensure outstanding quality items are addressed for final acceptance.
•Support the closure of open quality issues by coordinating with relevant departments.
•Assist in conducting safety inductions for visitors and new employees.
•Issue and complete Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and job permits as required.
•Understudy senior quality personnel to develop competencies in quality control methods and standards.
•Perform any other duties assigned by the Quality Supervisor or QHSE Manager.
Requirements:
•Certificate or degree in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or a related field.
•Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar quality role.
•ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certificate training.
•Knowledge of marine or shipyard operations and relevant regulations.
•Understanding of PQR, WPS, and welding inspection practices.
•Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
•Ability to produce accurate documentation and maintain quality inspection sheets.
