Join us in Preparing the Future on a large, local project. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and as part of a team, ensuring that mechanical installations, piping, and structural steel work is completed with high quality. Contract position from June 1st to October 2nd 2026 at Saskatoon, reporting to a Project Supervisor. 10-hour shift x 5 days a week. Occasional weekend work may apply.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Dimensional verification of piping and structural steel
- Perform visual inspection of completed piping and structural steel welds
- Maintain QC documentation of welder IDs, material traceability and NDT map locations
- Maintain red line drawing as-builts of installed piping and structural steel
- Prepare complete QC documentation turnover packages for submission to Client
- 5 years experience related to shop QC inspection and field construction projects
- Preferably 2 or more years experience in a Quality Assurance role.
- Experience with mechanical construction activities related to piping fabrication, testing, structural welding, and assembly
- Experience with inspection and traceability activities associated with the fabrication, testing of piping systems and structural welding
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply, codes, standards, specifications, and drawings.
- Possess good working knowledge of NDE methods
- Good communication skills in English for reporting findings clearly and effectively
- Computer knowledge with proficient skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, andOutlook)
- Great safety record
- Relevant safety tickets are an asset
- Valid work permit
- Valid drivers license and reliable mode of transportation
- Successfully pass a standard D&A test
