The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for execution and control of order-related quality activities within department.
- Scheduling and assigning resources efficiently for the quality related tasks
- Ensuring the assigned tasks are completed by the assigned due date
- Ensuring that the orders are planned and executed per customer purchase order requirements, UCI’s quality procedures and industry standards
- Reviewing customer purchase orders and review order entry into UCI’s database
- Planning all quality activities required to complete the assigned order
- Approving purchase orders to procure items and services
- Approving dedication and qualification test procedures for various components and assemblies
- Approving test data and verifying if the results met established acceptance criteria and customer requirements
- Approving and closing non-conformance and deviation reports
- Performing required inspections
- Approving all order related documents
- Reviewing customer specifications, extracting required quality requirements and ensuring those requirements are met
- Communicating with customers and vendors in requesting/providing quality details
- Witnessing activities at subcontractor/customer facilities when required
- Creating Certificate of Conformances
- Releasing items for shipment to customers/vendors or to be used in assembly process
- Communicating with internal staff in providing quality details and status updates on the tasks assigned
- Submitting documents to customers/vendors and ensuring that the approvals are received when required
- Uploading order related documents to electronic database once approved by quality
- Creating, reviewing and approving quality plans
- Verifying all tests are performed using calibrated equipment
- Reviewing calibration certificates
- Minimum 3 years of experience in supervising quality activities
- Diploma/Degree in related quality field is preferred
- Certified ISO 9001 or ASME NQA-1 Lead Auditor is preferred
- Understanding of nuclear industry quality assurance program requirements typically acquired through appropriate experience in the industry including 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR21, ASME NQA-1, ISO 9001, ISO 17025 is preferred
- Strong communications skills: verbal, written and interpersonal
- Understanding of electronic Database use and provide necessary input for status and accurate information.
- Ability to lift minimum of 25 lbs, bend over, walk, reach overhead, step on a small ladder. Pass a J1 eye test.
- Travel required: 15% of the time
- Be able to work in office, warehouse, laboratory and team environment
