LAB Security Systems is a well-established Swiss Screw Machine Job Shop, specializing in precision turned parts for various industries since 1956.
We are looking for a motivated, career-focused, hardworking individual to oversee and coordinate quality inspection activities to ensure that products meet quality design requirements. This management position oversees a team of quality inspectors, works closely with production teams, communicates with customers, and vendors to continually maintain and improve quality throughout the operation including ISO certification.

- Determine, Communicate and Follow Up on Daily Tasks
- Provide second set of eyes on quality issues.
- Monitor and drive adherence to process, identifying process gaps, violations, etc.
- Handle HR items including training, hiring, performance reviews, disciplinary
- Point of Contact for quality with customers and vendors alike including identifying root cause and correcting issues
- Participate with peers and subordinates in achieving objectives of quality, timely delivery of inspection, planned cost and personnel development.
- Derive, track and report companywide metrics.
- Coordinate and conduct internal audits.
- Create and Maintain product and process documentation in concert with engineering driving consistency and correctness throughout the organization.
- Support new product launches / contract reviews and validations including PPAP
submissions, dimensional layouts, and process capability studies – taking ownership
- Investigate root cause of product quality issues and administer corrective action activity to correct and prevent quality defects.
- Maintain equipment calibrations and training records.
- Maintain customer compliance documentation (Reach, Rohs, etc.)
- Communication with customers on quality issues and closing the loop with
- Completion of Job Quality documentation including first pieces, quality alerts, etc.
- Assist in managing the QMS and continued implementation of a new ERP system maintaining our quality certifications
- Conduct incoming receiving
- Associates degree or higher or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 5 years of quality assurance experience in manufacturing or related field a must
- 10+ years of supervisory experience preferred- Exhibits proactive approach, gets involved, and is thorough
- Experience with GD&T as well as measurement techniques
- Strong familiarity with small parts using gages, micrometers and comparators
- Understanding of ISO 9001 Standards
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook
- Strong computer skills to perform daily reporting duties on the ERP system
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Read and comprehend blueprint specifications and supporting documentation including tolerance allowance.
- Must have good math skills and be attentive to details of the job.
- Must be able to work both independently and in a team approach environment.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations & drug test screening.
Schedule: 8-hour shift 6 AM to 2:30 PM Monday to Friday, occasional weekends and extended hours A/R
