Develops, directs, and coordinates quality assurance programs to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

- Ensuring that quality objectives and associated training have been implemented to ensure that CSRs are met.
- Ensuring that appointed personnel are aware of and responsible for corrective and preventive actions relating to CSRs.
- Ensuring that appointed personnel are routinely monitoring customer scorecards in relation to CSRs.
- Ensuring that appointed personnel are routinely monitoring customer portals in relation to CSRs and other time-sensitive documents.

- Manages quality assurance engineers, metrology lab technicians, and quality technicians. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

- Submits recommendations for merit increases to General Manager/COO before discussion with staff member.

- Establishing progressive training requirements for each position specific to the individual. Training requirements are to be documented.
- Conducts regular meetings with his/her staff to establish, delineate, and review organizational policies, to coordinate functions and operations between areas, and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives.
- Provide leadership to achieve continual improvement. This can be through increased sales while maintaining costs, or by maintaining sales and decreasing costs.
- Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to the General Manager for action.
- Factory shall define the responsibilities and inter-relations of all the personnel involved in the quality activities. And factory should appoint a management representative for quality, who, irrespective of other responsibilities, shall be responsible for:
- Ensuring that a quality system, which meets the requirements of this document, is established, implemented, and maintained.
- Ensuring that the products with the compulsory certification mark are produced in conformity with the standards according to which they have been certified.
- Establishing documented procedures to ensure that Compulsory certification marks are kept and used appropriately.
- Establishing documented procedures to ensure that the compulsory certification mark is not affixed on any non-conforming product or changed product that was not notified to the certification body.
- The management representative for quality shall be competent to perform the work.
- Personnel shall be appointed to supervise the production operations across all shifts to ensure the product quality.
- Personnel responsible for product quality shall have the authority to stop production to correct quality problems.
- Formal customer interface with customers, as required.
- Works with staff to provide facts that can be used to reduce or eliminate premium costs.

- Maintenance of systems within his/her department that must be in place for safety and the overall well-being of the plant, i.e., drug policy, emergency plans, and TOSHA and Environmental compliance.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining the budget for the department.
- Ensures that all of his/her subordinates understand the quality policy and that it is implemented and maintained throughout the Quality Assurance Department.
- Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectations of finished product.
- Direct workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials and products.
- Direct efforts of quality assurance towards achieving company goals as listed, but not limited to, the business plan and management review meeting. Includes follow-up actions through the internal audit system in other departments, as required.
- Participate in, and/or organize, corrective action and continuous improvement teams.
- Develops timelines for improvement projects and initiates corrective actions, if required.
- Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability.
- Works with customer quality representatives and/or customer engineering groups to eliminate customer concerns.
- Analyzes, evaluates, and presents information concerning factors such as business situations, process capabilities, manufacturing problems, and design and development of new products using the APQP procedure.
- Cooperates with other management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, training requirements, and goals.
- Reviews technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures.
- Visits and confers with representatives of material and component vendors to obtain information related to supply quality and vendor quality standards.
- Has the authority to place any product on “Hold” if poor quality is suspected.
- Responsible for customer consigned gauging. • Reports on customer satisfaction.
- Coordinates teams to collect and organize benchmarking data.
- Schedules, coordinates, and maintains records of finished goods audits.
- Maintains records of PPAP submissions.
- Establishes and holds a list of company measurement criteria (quality goals).
- Assist with administering QMS (Quality Management System) audits.
- Coordinates and maintains records of Management Review meetings.
- Ensuring that a quality system is established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with the current automotive standard, and reporting on the performance of the quality system to management for review and as a basis for improvement.
- Ensure that all of his/her subordinates understand the quality policy and that it is implemented and maintained throughout the department.
- Reports on the status of the quality system.
- Maintains records of corrective and preventive actions.
- Responsible for auditing corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinates the EMS responsibilities and program oversight with the EMS Representative and assists the General Manager and management team to:
- Ensure that the environmental policy and objectives are established and are compatible with the strategic direction and context of the organization.
- ensure the integration of the EMS requirements into the organization’s business process.
- ensure that the resources needed for the EMS are available.
- ensure that the EMS achieves its intended outcomes.
- ensure that the EMS conforms to the current ISO14001 standard(s).

- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, and five to ten years of related experience or a combination of both.
- Experience should include management in a metal stamping environment serving the automotive industry.
