Purpose:
•Ensure that Quality Management Systems are implemented and sustainable for both Medical and Non-Medical products, such that all regulatory requirements, and Health Canada (cGMP) are being met.
•Perform quality control functions on finished products as required.
•Provide operational support to proactively mitigate regulatory and safety risks.
•Drive continuous improvement efforts for all areas of quality management including regulatory compliance, raw material control, product quality and customer complaints.
What you’ll do:
•Analyse all finished goods as required and track out of spec (OOS) deviations as required
•Manage analytical equipment maintenance program and test/validate new equipment. Provide troubleshooting support for plant instrumentation.
•Act as a change agent to design/build/enhance and implement quality management systems at the site to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations
•Support production supervisors and take on supervisory responsibilities as required, including training of plant staff.
•Manage, control and report raw material losses monthly, while leading continuous improvement efforts
•Host and perform ongoing routine quality audits, offering practical solutions
•Ensure all local work instructions meet ISO, GMP/regulatory and customer requirements, and participate in quality process reviews as required
•Track and organize customer complaints; investigate complaints, enter CARs/NCRs if required and track to completion
•Participate in risk assessments (MOC, HAZOP, FMEA, HACCP), provide validation support as required
•Drive quality improvements using metrics (KPIs) with site operations team (site specific training program management, internal rejects and deviations etc.)
•Manage customer requests to support sales/retail team as required on quality related enquiries
•Liase with the QA Program Manager and the wider HSEQ team
What it takes:
Education and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in science or a related field. College diploma with relevant experience also considered.
•Three years of experience in the gas industry is preferred, or a related industry sector.
•Experience working with analytical instrumentation in a laboratory setting.
•Knowledge and experience in GMP and Health Canada regulated operational environments preferred.
Key Skills and Attributes:
•Good written and oral communication skills
•Attention to detail in written work
•Ability to work with a team and influence change
•Strong technical knowledge of Compressed Gas Industry considered an asset.
•Proficient in managing regulatory documentation and technical specifications.
•Strong reading and comprehension, good oral and written communication.
•Proficient with Word, EXCEL, power point, MS project, IMSS and databases in general. Must be comfortable using computers.
•Well organized, results oriented.
•Persistent in following up on open issues.
•Enjoys continuous learning.
