Job Description
•Functional reporting to both Operations Manager and Area Manager. Accountable to Area Manager.
•Develop and implement QHSE procedures, processes, and controls. Implement, manage, and monitor the QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) performance of the company.
•Monitor and advise on all QHSE matters, issues, and concerns to ensure compliance with statutory, company, and contractual requirements. Act as subject matter expert for QHSE matters.
•Liaise with stakeholders (e.g. management, employees, customers, suppliers, regulatory bodies) regarding QHSE matters.
•Responsible for company QHSE processes and procedures. Responsible to ensure company maintains accreditations. Participate in audits.
•Participate in generation and delivery of training courses.
•Managing and maintaining the HR system (Including onboarding of personnel, booking medical & testing appointments, training, writing policies, group Benefits administration).
•Acting as the main point of contact for onboarding of personnel.
•Coordination and booking of travel.
•Maintain project files in timely manner on shared drives and accessible storage locations (e.g. SharePoint).
•Managing and maintain accounts with third party risk management platforms (e.g. ISNetworld, etc.).
•Work permit applications (in Canada & Internationally).
•Maintain highest standards of safety within office and on customer locations by complying with and enforcing safety policies and procedures. Actively ensure that his / her own health and safety and the health and safety of all workers is consistently promoted. Ensure proper use of safety equipment by self and direct reports.
•Report all accidents, incidents or unsafe conditions and take all necessary steps to prevent accidental damage to company property, client facilities, and the environment.
•Maintain integrity and professionalism in representing RTEI.
•Constantly seek to improve customer satisfaction. Also seek opportunities for new customers and projects.
•Attendance to industry events.
•Maintain integrity and professionalism in representing RTEI.
•Promote teamwork to maintain morale.
•Carry out other tasks and duties as directed by supervisor.
Experience
•Minimum of 3 years related experience in above-identified tasks (considered an asset).
Education
•High school diploma (mandatory)
•Post-secondary training with focus on QHSE (mandatory)
Skills and Knowledge
•Knowledge and experience working with QHSE management systems.
•Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written.
•Computer Literate in Word, Excel, Outlook (mandatory).
•Recruiting experience (considered an asset).
•Familiarity with RTEI products and services (considered an asset)
•Must be able to prioritize tasks and work under tight time constraints.
•Must be able to effectively interface with other departments and divisions to resolve problems.
•Must have ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality, accuracy, and timeliness.
•Must be a detail oriented, self-starter and able to work with little supervision while maintaining quality.
•The ability to read, write, and speak English (mandatory).
•Valid Drivers Licence (mandatory)
•Acceptable driver’s abstract (mandatory)
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $50,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
