The Purchasing Supervisor will oversee the purchasing and procurement process to obtain the most timely and cost-effective goods and services for daily and long-term plant operations. In coordination with the Materials, Planning, and Logistics (MP&L) Manager, this position will develop and implement procurement strategies that will optimize costs and mitigate supply chain risks. This position will report directly to the Materials, Planning, and Logistics Manager.
· Responsible for performing all duties and activities to create a safe and environmentally compliant workplace that produces high quality products in a cost-efficient manner.

· Manage supplier relationships and track vendor spend.
· Continuously analyze inventory levels, demand forecasts, and optimize stock levels.
· Prepare and present reports on activities and metrics to present to the MP&L Manager.
· Identify areas of improvement to streamline procurement processes to develop cost saving opportunities.
· Collaborate with internal customers to identify the needs and requirements to develop purchasing plans.
· Run the efficient operations of the plant warehouse along with the off-site warehouse.
· Positive attitude with a customer focus is a must.
· Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, and related software.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively cross functionally
· Must be detail oriented and self-motivated with the ability to multi-task.
· High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in business preferred.
· 3+ years of experience in a purchasing role highly desired.
· Must complete and maintain all respirator training and certification.
· Must complete and maintain all HAZWOPER training and certification.
· Must complete and maintain any additional assigned company required training and certifications.
· Ability to learn and apply all required training in a safe and efficient manner.
· Basic knowledge and use of writing and arithmetic.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. at waist level for short durations.
· Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, push, or pull for extended periods of time.
