We are seeking an Inventory Manager to join our team at EVS Metal, located in New Jersey. This pivotal role will contribute significantly to our mission of providing quality precision sheet metal fabrications by overseeing inventory processes and ensuring optimal stock levels.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy of stock records.
- Oversee procurement processes and supplier relationships.
- Implement inventory control systems to optimize efficiency.
- Coordinate with production teams to forecast inventory needs.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
- Research and select vendors for various electronic components.
- Work closely with sales to provide input on customer expedite requests.
- Work with operations team to resolve any issues to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.
- Accurately maintain the ERP system and inventories.
- Issue timely and accurate requisitions for purchased material and ensure timely order placement and on time delivery from the supply chain.
- Conduct cycle counting and physical inventories to ensure continuous inventory accuracy.
- Work closely with the General Manager to ensure that all work orders and PO’s are costed and closed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement efforts
- Manage and direct activities of receiving.
- Other tasks or projects that may arise from time to time that are deemed to be reasonably expected as part of this role.
- College Degree or experience deemed equivalent by the hiring manager.
- 5-10 years’ experience in production control within a manufacturing environment preferably in the electronic component industry.
- Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, Bills of Materials and technical specifications in English.
- Inventory management experience, familiarity with creating and closing work orders, rework and scrap accounts.
- Proficient in inventory management techniques and practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skill
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Excellent Computer skills including MS Office products, and ERP systems.
- Ability to work in a shop environment including navigating stairs and lifting tools and parts that weigh up to 50lbs by hand.
- Willingness/Ability to respond to urgent production issues and customer service requests ensuring excellent customer service
