Bluehook Tool Company LLC is hiring an oilfield services Inventory Manager at our district office in Odessa, Texas.
As the Inventory Manager, you will successfully demonstrate the ability to provide support to the District Managers by overseeing the management, control and movement of the company’s product line, materials, equipment and supplies used in oilfield services operations. This includes maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring availability of tools and parts for field jobs and optimizing inventory processes to support operational efficiency and cost control. The Inventory Manager is a full-time position responsible for managing order writing and selection, quality control, integration with accounting systems, and distribution of our product. Top candidates will have experience working with BASIS system and have a strong understanding of data entry and analysis. You will also assist with other tasks as requested by management.
In this role, being organized, analytical and detail-oriented, while providing prompt and courteous responses to inquiries or requests from clients and team members is imperative. Having strong research, communication and computer skills are also a necessity. You should be committed to providing accurate, efficient, reliable, trustworthy support to fellow team members, as well as our external partners.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedure to track tools, parts and consumables used in field service jobs.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts through regular cycle counts, audits and reconciliations.
- Forecast material needs based on job schedules and historical usage.
- Coordinate with field crews and operations to ensure timely delivery and return of equipment and materials.
- Work closely with procurement to manage stock levels and reorder points.
- Maintain inventory systems (e.g., ERP, inventory management software) and generate regular reports.
- Monitor inventory aging, obsolescence and loss; initiate corrective actions.
- Supervise warehouse staff and ensure proper material handling and storage practices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics or related field.
- 3-5 years experience as an inventory manager or similar position, preferably in oilfield services, energy or industrial sector.
- Working knowledge of oilfield tools parts and materials is a strong plus.
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
- Proficient with RTMS/BASIS and/or other inventory management software (ERP).
- Excellent communication, leadership and team management skills, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, field-driven environment with minimal supervision.
- Forklift certification or warehouse operations experience.
- Working knowledge of job ticketing and service dispatch systems.
- Familiarity with/understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.
Full-time (Potential for remote work) with up to 75% travel to district offices in:
