Experience / Education Requirements

Be a hands-on manager who is active in operations and not afraid to get dirty

Duties and Responsibilities
List the duties and responsibilities required of this job position; include applicable leadership responsibilities.
•Distribute Sales Orders and Transfer Orders to Valve Parts Associates to pull and stage material for shipment.
•Direct valve parts associates with stocking in the warehouse or containers, and correct inventory transactions.
•Verify and approve valve parts that will be shipping out of our facility.
•Maintain correct inventory as well as follow guidelines and procedures set to ensure that inventory is correct.
•Communicate to international and domestic purchasing when inventory is low for hard or soft goods.
•Create work orders for assemblies of soft goods and hard goods in the valve parts department.
•Attend production and quality meetings to update other departments of goals and issues.
•Create innovative solutions to make employees work smoother and problem solve when incidents occur.
•Assists with physical inventories and cycle counts.
•Responsible to see that documentation in the form of procedures and work instructions is available and current for critical functions.
•Create PowerPoint presentations in English and in Spanish for weekly Monday morning safety meeting.
•Hold safety committee meetings with other members Bi-weekly to discuss issues on the premises or any incidents and accidents at Bestway facilities.
•Record JSAs for each department and revise them as necessary.
•Revise Safety Manual once yearly to record any safety changes for Bestway Oilfield.
•Lead others in proper safety techniques and guidelines according to company procedures.
•Perform other duties as required by management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
- Proficiency in inventory management software and tools
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and 3PL providers
- Knowledge of retail management principles and practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for stock handling
This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Inventory Control Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate inventory records, optimizing inventory levels, and maintaining efficient order fulfillment processes.
Please note that this is a physically demanding role that may require heavy lifting at times. Candidates should be comfortable with this aspect of the job.
