Propane Dispenser Operator/Counter Sales

Retail Propane Parts and Customer Service Associate

Strick's LP Gas is looking for a positive and hardworking applicant to handle retail sales and propane walk-in sales at our Siler City storefront. Candidate will be expected to handle and fill propane tanks up to 100# in a safe and consistent manner, training will be provided. Candidate will be expected to have a basic understanding of hardware and hardware sales, specifically pertaining to the propane industry, however, general hardware sales should translate easily.

Candidate will also be expected to assist customers with questions related to stock and sales in our showroom, including sales of propane hardware and small propane appliances such as grills, heaters, gas regulators, and hardware fittings. Other duties will include painting and maintaining propane tanks in yard, cleaning yard area, prepping propane tanks for installations, cleaning office and bathrooms, etc. Other duties as needed.

Office duties such as filing, answering phones, and more will also be required as needed. Applicant will be required to set up customers over the phone, take phone orders and respond to email order inquiries. Enter sales and invoices and payments from driver and technician orders.

Skills/Qualifications: Must work well with others and have the ability to follow direction. Dependable, with a good attitude and detail orientated. Bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting and heavy lifting over 70 lbs. required. Basic mechanical know how recommended. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions is a requirement. Some customer service background and office duties is recommended.

THIS IS A FULL TIME JOB WITH SATURDAY'S REQUIRED. MONDAY - FRIDAY 8-5PM AND SATURDAY 9-2 PM.

Previous propane experience is not required, but will be considered heavily for position. Computer skills such as basic typing and ability to navigate and operate a computer are required.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
