The Role

The Manager, Risk Management will join the Major Project’s team reporting directly to the Program Director (PMO) and be in a role that has significant strategic, financial, decision making, and leadership responsibilities. The Manager, Risk Management will work closely with other managers supporting major projects, playing a lead role in creating a best-in-class risk management program.

What You'll Do

- Lead a team of specialists to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive risk management strategies, frameworks, and tools for major transmission and substation projects

- Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to project team members on risk management principles and best practices

- Facilitate regular risk identification and assessment sessions with project teams, engineering, construction, and stakeholders

- Perform qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, including cost and schedule risk assessments

- Collaborate with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to develop risk mitigation plans and monitor risk triggers

- Track and report on key risk indicators and trends across the project portfolio

About You

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field required

- 7+ years of experience in risk management, project management, preferably within the large construction projects required

- PMP, PMI-RMP, or similar certification preferred

- Valid driver’s license required

Salary

$150,000. - $177,000. a year

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
