We are seeking a Project Risk and Performance to work in the Project Services Department. Under the general direction of the
Project Risk and Performance Section Head, this position is responsible for developing, managing, and enhancing comprehensive
risk registers, and leading the reporting on project controls and performance for the HVDC Reliability Program.
- Act as a specialized resource in the division, providing technical advice and guidance on a range of project risk, control, and
- Lead and facilitate risk workshops with project stakeholders to develop comprehensive risk registers for projects including
strategic and high priority initiatives, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative risk analysis techniques.
- Assist the Risk Management Lead in providing project contingency evaluations for high priority projects and preparing final
reports. Provide contract contingency assessments and analysis as required.
- Provide strategic recommendations on risk management throughout the development, evaluation, and execution phases of
the project to ensure adherence to the Risk Management Standard and the Contingency Development and Management
Standard.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Management Division project managers and leaders to integrate advanced risk
- In consultation with the project managers, plan, develop, and monitor project performance management system including cost
performance index and schedule performance index, reports, and dashboards.
- Oversee and support project managers on managing the detailed project cost forecasts, earned value metrics, and reporting
- Assist the Project Control Lead in maintaining a consistent work breakdown structure to support the project controls system.
- Coordinate with project managers, estimating, scheduling, and financial services teams to develop control accounts to
- Work closely with project stakeholders to develop, manage, and maintain advanced project controls related content, ensuring
- Support the investigation, evaluation, development, and implementation of analytical tools, techniques, and processes to
support the advancement of project controls processes and systems for the Project Management Division.
- Conduct advanced and non-routine analysis, research, and recommendations.
- Assist in mentoring staff on project risk and contingency assessments, project controls, and performance reporting.
- A two-year diploma from an educational institution of recognized standing plus completion of three accredited courses in
project management and courses in leadership, and a minimum of six years related experience.

- Insight into the various project issues in general, with strong analytical skills to understand and determine the implication of
- Demonstrated experience in developing successful working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- PMP and/or AACE designation would be considered an asset.
- Experience in project control tools, risk management tools, and change management is an asset. A high degree of initiative
and an ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Experience in the implementation and administration of project controls as well as cost and scheduling techniques, including
ability to select and apply different progress measurement methodologies, would be considered an asset.
- Experience in project management of capital projects, including ability to demonstrate an understanding of the project lifecycle
from initiation to completion, would be considered an asset.
- Advanced skills in excel, working knowledge in SAP, scheduling software (P6 and MS Project), PowerBI, and SharePoint
- Must obtain and maintain a current Personnel Risk Assessment and a "Clear" security rating in accordance with Manitoba
- Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Training is required and must be completed prior to transfer date and renewed annually.
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $43.35-$59.82 Hourly,
$83,070.78-$114,625.68 Annually.
