Candidate must reside within commuting distance to Little Rock, AR for hybrid schedule prior to starting employment.
The Project Manager will collaborate with the customer/client team to support the planning, execution, and delivery of various utility projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role will support cross ‑ functional teams of external customers, contractors, and vendors to strengthen communication and coordination. By driving effective project controls and fostering collaboration, the Project Manager will support reliability improvements of the electrical utility grid in the state of Arkansas. Below is list of activities / deliverables that the contractor may be involved in throughout the life cycle of a project.
- Support projects through design, construction and close-out phases.
- Work with interdisciplinary project teams to define processes and implement scoping, execute engineering, construction and close out the project.
- Collaborate and support development of project estimates to align with total cumulative project cost expectations.
- Communicate with customer engineers and field representatives to identify project needs and resolutions.
- Work with the customer team to assist development of construction plans that include a schedule, resource plan, and outage plan.
- Assist the customer team with invoice and contract needs, as requested.
- Track and coordinate customer material deliverables.
- Collaborate with the project team members on necessary schedule, status and costing updates.
- Support the customer team with attending working forecast meetings/calls to status necessary projects.To include overall cumulative project cost reviews (estimate, actuals, cost to complete, etc.)
- Provide consistent and timely status reports.
- Work with the team to open, close and manage work orders as required.
- Follow up on close out activities and material audits, if needed.
- Update monthly status and project costing.
- High School Diploma or the equivalent;
- Requires five (5) years with less than (10) years of Project Controls/Project Management related experience;
- Must be able to effectively communicate with project stakeholders and upper management;
- Requires a basic working knowledge of project management software, specifically Primavera P6 and Excel;
- Requires the ability to manage multiple projects and determine priorities;
- Must be a skilled writer;
- Must understand the basic principles of project management;
- Requires a general understanding of Cost Management, Estimating and Change Control;
- Candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to work location.Candidates outside a reasonable commuting distance must provide a cover letter regarding intentions to relocate to be considered;
- Candidate must reside within commuting distance to Little Rock prior to starting employment;
- Must have a high degree of computer literacy.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Previous experience in the Utility industry preferred
- Prior knowledge of Microsoft Power Platforms (PowerBi, Power Automate, etc.) would be preferred;
- Work is conducted in an office environment (Private or Semi-Private Office) and requires occasional travel to off-site work locations (work may be primarily completed remotely).
- Field duties require outdoor work in a plant or construction atmosphere
- Interaction with other team members, as well as supervisors and client personnel
- Working plant, construction, and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection
- May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes
- May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
