Job Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within scope, schedule, and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating Duties:
•Prepare detailed estimates, budgets, and proposals for commercial construction projects
•Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine scope and cost
•Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
•Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews
•Assist in developing schedules and bid strategies
Project Management Duties:
•Manage day-to-day operations of assigned construction projects
•Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
•Draft and issue subcontracts, change orders, and owner change orders
•Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
•Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
•Conduct regular site visits and project meetings
•Review and approve project submittals, RFIs, and change orders
•Monitor project progress and report updates to stakeholders
•Oversee procurement of materials and labor
•Resolve project conflicts and issues in a timely manner
•Ensure quality control and final project delivery standards are met
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)
•5+ years of experience in construction project management (general contracting preferred)
•Proficient in Microsoft Office, Project Software (e.g., Procore, Building Connected, Viewpoint Team/Spectrum, MS Project)
•Strong knowledge of local building codes and permitting in the St. Louis area
•Exceptional organizational and communication skills
•Ability to lead project teams and manage multiple stakeholders
