Job Description:
To oversee all facets of MMB’s Project Management at customer job sites. Meet with MMB Sales and with customers to help develop a project scope. Work with MMB Purchasing to ensure all items get ordered and delivered to meet project plans. Work with MMB Design and Drafting department and assigned drafter to get drawings and scope to meet customer’s needs and to be able to work with field installations and crews. The project manager will perform the following: Upon receiving an approved contract to perform work on a project the Project Managers will build a project schedule with tasks and expected start/stop dates, line up sub-contractors to obtain best pricing through RFQ’s with tasks explained and duration of time for tasks to be delivered and associated penalties for not meeting established completion dates. Work with MMB leadership on subcontractor agreements and certificates of insurance from all subcontractors. The PM is responsible for all facets of the project's financial success in managing expenses, creating change orders, and ensuring all hours spent daily fall within or beating the budget created for the project.
Work with the Procurement team on a list of materials needed for the job and ensure goods are at the job site. Ensure daily meetings with on-site MMB Site Superintendent are taking place so all subs and MMB crews are assigned to the work tasks and meeting the established times established in the project schedule to bring the project to conclusion under budget in hours and payroll. Ensure daily safety is achieved through job site assessments turned in by the Site Superintendent and all equipment safety sign-out sheets. Responsible for updating the Project Schedule and holding weekly (or more if required) meetings with Customers, Subs, engineers on finished and delivered results and next phases of work to be completed. Manage overall daily job notes in Daily Field Report (DFR) and pictures of all safety forms, weekly toolbox talks and work-related pictures.
Scope:
•Meet with job site owners and manage milestones with MMB teams, subs, and owners of sites. Building relationships with every customer.
•Following project scopes for MMB and subcontractors necessary to completing a project on-time and on-budget.
•Interviewing prospective subcontractors and developing selection criteria.
•On-site management daily, weekly, and monthly reviewing and ensuring all work is completed as scheduled and revising schedules as needed weekly. Document all delays being conveyed back to the customer.
•Track all change orders and have them signed prior to doing the work and ensure MMB Finance has those change orders to charge back or credit for changed work.
•Complete all tasks associated with administrative duties – approving purchases, obtaining PO’s, managing ExakTime daily photos and descriptions of work completed, working with MMB AP and AR on approving delivery of goods to sites and billing customers on completed work. Completing safety related documentation as required by OSHA, MMB and customers.
•Work with local, county and state authorities on permits as needed.
•Close out projects with Acumatica punch list and walk sites with owner and subs.
Requirements:
•Associate of Arts or bachelor’s degree in business, Agriculture or Construction equivalent desired.
•Read, write, speak, and understand English.
•Strong Math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals), Microsoft suite of products including Word, Excel, Project.
•Advanced knowledge of agricultural equipment and operation of such.
•Excellent communication skills internally and with customers.
•5 plus years of experience preferred in agricultural construction related industry.
•Meticulous, organized, and able to work collaboratively with other teams within MMB to develop the project schedules for MMB and sub-contractors for daily, monthly work tasks.
•Able to manage oneself, prioritize workload, and run this part of the operation as an entrepreneur.
•Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project, blueprints, equipment installation and user guides, soil correction, concrete, other site-specific equipment, general engineering terms and needs on MMB jobs.
