Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase, providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. This position requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documents.

•

Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets and timelines.

•

Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather data for accurate estimating.

•

Utilize construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create precise estimates.

•

Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing.

•

Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgets and identify any discrepancies.

•

Provide support in project management tasks, ensuring that all aspects of the project are aligned with client expectations.

•

Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.

Experience

•

Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.

•

Strong knowledge of project management principles as they relate to construction projects.

•

Familiarity with construction site operations and processes is preferred.

•

Proficiency in using estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is highly desirable.

•

Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

•

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in cost estimation.

•

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
