Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring that all financial aspects align with project goals. This position requires a strong understanding of construction management, contract negotiation, and effective project management skills.

Responsibilities

•

Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.

•

Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.

•

Utilize Bluebeam and other estimating software to create precise take-offs and pricing models.

•

Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data essential for cost estimation.

•

Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.

•

Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to budget constraints.

•

Assist in negotiating contracts with clients and subcontractors, ensuring favorable terms for all parties involved.

•

Prepare comprehensive reports detailing estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for management review.

Skills

•

Strong knowledge of construction site operations and practices.

•

Proficient in construction estimating techniques and methodologies.

•

Familiarity with cost control measures and budget management principles.

•

Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors.

•

Experience in construction management or related fields is highly desirable.

•

Proficiency in using Bluebeam or similar software for estimating purposes.

•

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates.

•

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex information clearly.

Full & Part time opportunities available. Potential for remote estimating position.
