The Opportunity
We’re hiring a Project Estimator to strengthen our preconstruction processes, streamline proposal analysis, and support early-stage project success. What You’ll Do
•Prepare and send Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to vendors and subcontractors based on project plans and specifications.
•Review and compare bids for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project scopes.
•Perform material quantity take-offs from plans and drawings to assist in early budgeting.
•Track and organize proposal submissions, RFPs, and vendor communications.
•Assist project managers and estimators with preliminary budgeting and cost forecasting.
•Identify proposal discrepancies and recommend solutions to maintain alignment with budgets.
•Support procurement efforts by helping coordinate material orders and deliveries.
•Maintain organized preconstruction documentation for project records and contracting.
•Verify project material deliveries, ensure invoice accuracy, and cross-check all charges against approved budgets.
What You Bring
•1+ years of experience in purchasing, estimating, or preconstruction support (residential construction preferred).
•Strong understanding of construction documents, basic material take-offs, and project budgeting.
•Strong analytical ability, sharp organizational skills and high attention to detail.
•Understanding of takeoff software and estimating tools.
•Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills; experience with BuilderTrend or similar platforms is a plus.
•A proactive mindset — you anticipate problems and offer solutions.
•Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in construction management, business, or related field or equivalent experience preferred.
