Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Estimating Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the estimating process for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. This position requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of construction management principles, as well as the ability to negotiate contracts and manage project costs effectively.

Duties

•

Lead the estimating team in preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects.

•

Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.

•

Utilize software tools such as Building Connected, Viewpoint Spectrum/Team, and Bluebeam for accurate estimating and management processes.

•

Collaborate with project managers to ensure alignment between estimates and project budgets.

•

Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms.

•

Implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle to maintain budget integrity.

•

Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather information necessary for accurate estimates.

•

Provide mentorship and training to junior estimators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Skills

•

Proficient in construction estimating techniques and methodologies.

•

Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.

•

Excellent negotiation skills to effectively manage contracts with various stakeholders.

•

Familiarity with construction site operations and safety protocols.

•

Expertise in using software such as Building Connected and Bluebeam, and Viewpoint Spectrum/Team, ProCore, and Plangrid.

•

Solid understanding of cost control practices within the construction industry.

•

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate estimation processes.

•

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with team members and clients.
