The TENG Inc. We are a highly dynamic, fast growing, medium-size engineering consultant company providing engineering and project management services to companies in multiple industry sectors.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer(s) who will work directly with our client in the Pharmaceutical sector to build and maintain assets by supporting all aspects of project development and execution for multiple projects. We have positions located in Mississauga, ON.
The successful candidate(s) would have a strong, hands-on technical and project management experience based on formal training and 3 – 5 years of experience in managing projects in either the Pharmaceutical, Chemicals or F&B industry. The successful candidate will be seconded to work at a client’s facility in Ontario.
- Assist the client Project Manager in the development and execution of small to medium size projects with following key accountabilities, but not limited to:
- Project planning, development and execution covering mechanical completion, asset/s commissioning, start-up, and project/financial closeout by overseeing the creation of appropriate project documentation and deliverables.
- Facilitating project and design review meetings between engineering service provider/s, operations, safety, and other key project stakeholders.
- Supporting cost monitoring and schedule overseeing of assigned projects.
- Managing ongoing interface with the key project stakeholders for change management and reporting on project deliverables including cost and schedule.
- Providing technical clarifications to field team during construction phase of projects.
- Bachelor of Engineering or EIT (Mechanical/Process preferred)
- Experience – Project Engineer to 3-5 years. Preferably some experience in Pharmaceutical (or similar) industry.
- Ability to work with Contractors and manage their deliverables. Review contractors’ deliverables and work with them to correct any deficiencies.
- Ability to work with and manage large databases in Excel. Proficiency in Excel, with knowledge of using formulae like LOOKUP, IF, MATCH etc.
- Good communication skills and ability to present the work in an understandable and presentable manner.
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English are required, as are superior interpersonal skills.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada currently.
