POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Accountant’s primary responsibility is to support the division project teams regarding billings, payments, budget analysis, financial reporting, contract modifications, labor and material purchase authorizations, compliance, and any other accounting duties related to Commercial Division projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Manage all accounting related functions for assigned SoCal Commercial Division projects.

· Manage client billings and subcontractor payments.

· Manage budget and financial tracking and reporting.

· Manage compliance requirements with a clear understanding.

· Assist project teams with any questions or needs related to accounting and finance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Process vendor invoices accurately and within assigned timeline.

· Process sub-contractor invoices accurately and within assigned timeline.

· Process customer billings accurately and within assigned timelines.

· Process and track monthly Schedule of Values for completed work to date.

· Collect and track compliance documents.

· Generate reports including A/R, Contract Status, Job Cost, Revenue and Income projections, and any other accounting reports from time to time.

· Maintain job cost reports, and any necessary modification and analysis.

· Perform other related duties as assigned or needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or similar business degree.

· Minimum 3 years prior experience working as an accountant or bookkeeper.

· Experience in the construction industry preferred, including public works projects.

· Proficient in certified payroll, PLA requirements, etc. regarding billings.

· Proficient in data input, accounts payable, accounts receivable and vendor payments.

· Strong communication skills.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
