Job Summary:
The Project Accountant supports project managers and site teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. This role involves coordinating schedules, resources, and documentation while serving as a key point of contact between clients, vendors, subcontractors and internal teams.
Duties:
•Create and manage project budgets to ensure financial stability throughout the project
•Process invoices, tracking project expenses, and ensuring all costs are accounted for
•Prepare financial reports, conduct cost analyses, and evaluate financial progress with project managers
•Ensure compliance with financial regulations and guidelines specific to the construction industry
•Manage payroll for construction employees and contractors
•Conduct audits to ensure financial operations are accurate and efficient
•Work closely with project managers and other departments to keep all financial aspects of projects on track
•Assist project managers with administrative duties and processes, such as scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and organizing project documents
•Coordinate project activities, resources, equipment, and information to ensure everything runs smoothly
•Prepare, organize and maintain project documentation, including contracts, reports, and change orders
•Perform quality control throughout the project to maintain high standards
•Assists in planning, organizing, and managing projects from inception to completion.
•Coordinate project schedules, resources, equipment and information.
•Track project costs and assist in budget management; prepare job cost projection updates.
•Serve as a liaison between clients, project managers, subcontractors and vendors.
•Facilitate regular meetings to discuss project status updates and potential challenges.
•Assist project managers with setup, data management, pricing/procurement of materials and client pre-qualifications.
•Project closeout documentation and monthly invoicing.
•Ensure projects comply with local, state, and federal building codes and safety regulations.
•Coordination with various agencies, i.e., Bluestake, Dust Permits, SWPPP/NOI notices and Hydrant Requests.

Qualifications:
•High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in construction management or equivalent experience, ideal.
•2+ years of experience in project coordination or project management.
•Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
•Strong understanding of construction processes and project management principles.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
•Capable of passing a pre-employment/post-offer background check and drug screen.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
