The Production Planner & Control will support and optimize daily manufacturing operations. This critical role acts as the bridge between production, Quality, SCM, inventory and logistics teams to ensure efficient material flow, accurate scheduling, and on-time delivery to customer. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, a deep understanding of production environments, and the ability to drive daily execution aligned with operational and customer goals.
- Develops, releases, and monitors production schedules to meet operational targets and customer deadlines.
- Continuously tracks production plan execution in both WSA and job work environments.
- Need to take active participation in meeting with customers for production, scheduling and delivery related updated.
- Releases and sets up production orders in SAP and MES, including MES setup for new product production.
- Manages and updates changeover plans; create changeover reports as needed.
- Conducts Finished Goods, WIP, Raw Materials, and job work inventory checks regularly to ensure system accuracy.
- Monitors Raw Material availability and coordinates Raw Materials planning to support uninterrupted production.
- Reconciles inventory data through physical verification and SAP system inputs.
- Tracks and manages job work inventory, ensuring third-party processes align with company standards.
- Reviews daily production status: actual vs. planned output.
- Performs scrap verification and tracks material rejection trends.
- Validates MES system status for real-time production visibility.
- Ensures proper release and tracking of process cards and changeover sheets.
- Monitors shipment status to ensure on-time delivery.
- Coordinates with shipping and quality teams for pre-dispatch activities.
- Checks invoice status and works with the finance team to ensure timely billing.
- Need to coordinate with CFT team (production, procurement, logistics, quality, and subcontractors)
- Daily reports and MIS
- Other task if any required related to PPC department
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in production planning or manufacturing control.- Strong knowledge of production planning, SIOP, LEAN, and supply chain principles.
- Experience working with ERP (preferably SAP), MRP, and MES systems.
- Proficient in Excel and reporting tools; analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume production set-up.
- Physically fit for shop floor related activities.
- APICS or CPIM certification is highly desirable.
