Production Planner

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production planner to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating production schedules to ensure efficient operations within our manufacturing environment. You will work closely with various departments to optimize production flow, manage inventory levels, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise in production management and supply chain analytics will be essential in driving operational excellence.

Duties

- · Create shop job packs including all routers and packaging requirements / print part labels

· Analyze production schedule and communicate daily production needs with Management Staff to align with shipping requirements

· Track incoming raw materials and assess how delays may impact the start and completion of products

· Update daily production schedule based on disruptions and productivity problems

· Act as a liaison between the Production Team and Account Managers to accurately notify all parties of any problems and how these will impact scheduled ship dates

· Review daily employee time-cards to ensure that labor is accurately recorded in ERP system

· Review daily/weekly overtime requirements to meet shipment goals and convey such needs to the Production Management Team

· Order consumable shop supplies (banding / toiletries / screws & nails / cardboard / etc.)

Skills

- Strong knowledge of production management principles and practices.

- Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems for effective scheduling and inventory management.

- Familiarity with MRP processes and supply chain management strategies.

- Experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on lean methodologies.

- Ability to analyze data for supply chain analytics and decision-making purposes.

- Mechanical knowledge to understand equipment capabilities and limitations.

- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
