About This Job

Job Description Essential Functions. Benoit-Houma has three distinct manufacturing Divisions: Accessories Manufacture

: This Division manufactures and supplies a host of tubular accessories and downhole tools for both offshore and onshore completions. Accessories are available in a number of configurations and can be tailored to complement your string design or for resistance to downhole environments.

OEM Manufacture

: This Division works with the end users within the Oil and Gas Industry, to supply unique, custom machined parts to exceptionally high tolerance and standards.

Tubular Manufacture:

This Division threads Benoit’s Premium and Semi-Premium connections onto API Tubing.

The

Manager - Production Planning - Houma

is responsible for planning and scheduling of the Accessories and OEM Division ensuring a coordinated flow of products through the complete production cycle maintaining timely delivery and efficient use of resources. This role involves close collaboration with various departments to meet customer demands and company objectives. This position will play a critical role in ensuring that production operations align with demand, resource availability, and organizational goals by developing, managing, and maintaining

Master Production Schedule (MPS)

to plan for what products need to be produced, in what quantities, and by when.

Role And Responsibilities

The

Manager - Production Planning - Houma

main role and responsibilities are:

Analyzing existing business processes that plan and execute diverse manufacturing environments (supporting make-to-order to make-to-stock operations) to identify needs and areas for improvement and developing a transformation roadmap.

Designing optimized production/business methods. This includes capacity planning and utilization, from customer configuration to product delivery and after-sales support, with a focus on standardization and harmonization.
Standardizing and harmonizing business processes, promoting best practices, and managing deviations based on business benefits.
Guiding the developing interfaces for data exchange between the ERP system (Acumatica) and other systems internally built systems within Benoit to create a holistic environment.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project goals, and develop a comprehensive project plan.
Acting as a liaison between departments, defining a Lean ERP implementation approach.
Guiding and supporting the project team to ensure successful implementation within scope, budget, and timeline.
Working in tandem with the Technology on new Product Development ensuring First Part Approval timelines are maintained.
Work closely with the Finance Team to ensure profitability models are updated and modified according to the Production Schedule.
Collaborate with sales and marketing to understand demand forecasts and translate them into a production plan.
Adjust schedules proactively in response to demand change.
Analyze and plan capacity requirements to ensure adequate workforce and machine availability.
Coordinate with production, procurement, and inventory control teams to ensure resource availability (materials, labor, and equipment).
Monitor and report key KPIs such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and inventory turns.
Provide visibility to leadership on scheduling performance and risks.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Computer Science, Information Management Systems, IT, Industrial, supply chain or similar). Equivalent experience required for non-degreed individuals.
Strong understanding of integrated ERP systems. Experience with Acumatica ERP system is a plus.
5+ years as a project leader/manager, preferably in ERP implementation or managing large projects (scheduling, budgeting, resourcing, prioritizing, risk management).
Experience working in a metals manufacturing environment.
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent project management skills (developing plans, managing resources, executing within scope, budget, and schedule).
Proficiency in communication tools (MS Office 365, Microsoft Excel. Word etc,).
Adaptability to dynamic environments.
