Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Scheduler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating production schedules, ensuring optimal resource allocation, and maintaining efficient workflow within the manufacturing, fabrication, installation and shipping and recvieivnng process. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments to meet production goals. You must be able to be proactive and at times reactive as there are constant changes daily in the construction industry.
Duties
•Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand planning and inventory levels.
•Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and efficient fleet management.
•Utilize systems for tracking production progress, including picking and packing operations. ( Just Plant It Scheduling Software )
•Collaborate with procurement teams to manage materials and supplies necessary for production.
•Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand or resource availability.
•Implement category management strategies to optimize product flow and minimize waste.
•Maintain accurate records of production activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
•Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on production goals and timelines.
•Be a constant driver for ensuring production is well aware of job deadlines and achieving target due dates to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
•Proven experience in production scheduling or a related field within logistics or supply chain management.
•Strong understanding of demand planning principles and practices.
•Experience in fleet management and logistics coordination is highly desirable.
•Proficient in using scheduling systems and software for tracking production metrics.
•Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
•Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for effective problem-solving.
•Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
•Bachelor degree in anything business related is a plus.
•Proficient in Microsoft office word, excel and powerpoint.
•Proficient in using ERP systems such as Tekla, Wks, Just Plan It, ESP etc is a plus.
•Made to order or job shop style of production scheduling is a plus.
•Fabrication & Construction background knowledge is a plus.
