The Production Floater is a flexible role within the production department, responsible for covering various positions as needed. Reporting to the Production Foreman, this role primarily involves hands-on participation in the wiring and assembly of Platinum products.
- Assist Wiring team by performing hands-on wiring tasks, including drilling holes, assembling pipe fittings, stripping cables, and running wires.
- Assist the Production team by actively participating in the wiring and assembly of Platinum products.
- May assist with pick-ups or receiving orders from vendors and returns from clients
- Determine the appropriate equipment or method based on requirements
- Set up pipe for cutting according to specifications
- Cut pipe to length with saws, pipe cutter, torch, etc.
- Thread pipe using pipe threading machine
- Assemble pipe based on drawings and schematics
- Mount pipe on equipment using brackets, clamps, and u-bolts using hand and power tools
- Test run Vapor Recovery Units (VRUs) to verify proper wiring and functionality.
- Communicate inventory needs, shortages, or concerns to management and support inventory counts and organization.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area, adhering to company safety and operational standards.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to identify process improvements, troubleshoot issues, and meet production goals.
- Represent the company professionally by wearing the company uniform (if provided) and maintaining a neat appearance.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to address questions or concerns.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to walk, sit, stand, climb, twist/turn, push/pull, squat, crawl/kneel, reach above shoulder.
- Must be able to perform repetitive hand/wrist/arm movements.
- Average close/distance vision necessary in order to record data and operate equipment.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and be understood by others.
- Must be able to hear the various equipment in order to diagnose issues.
- High school or equivalent
- Extensive experience with hand and power tool is preferred
- Professional Electrical Certification is considered a plus
- Knowledge of Industry Code experience is considered a plus
