Electronics & Controls is looking for a Sr. / Product Manager to join our talented, dynamic and strategic team in St Louis, MO, with responsibility for their Gas Valve and ElectroMechanical portfolios. We are a multi-million global business with a large footprint, manufacturing locations in the Americas, and a market leader in furnace HVAC segments. The Product Manager will report to the Platform Manager, and be responsible for new product strategy and marketing, lifecycle management, manufacturing footprint optimization, and ultimately managing the growth, profitability and health of their product line. They will work with cross-functional teams across the global Commercial organization, as well as customers and the broader market.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Understand industry trends, market dynamics, and competition across different commercial segments. Serve as the product line expert for Market Management, Sales and customers. Identify, analyze, and prioritize product opportunities for profitable sales growth.
- Work with Market Management, Sales, Application & Systems Engineering to guide customer discovery and validate strategic plans. Drive innovation, tiering, competitive positioning, and value propositions for new technologies in product line.
- Develop, communicate, and implement product strategies to meet future market needs, and drive value and differentiation for existing and developing markets.
- Develop / support long range forecasts, roadmaps and business cases for new product and market opportunities.
- Develop product specs that will guide engineering and operations teams in the development of new products.
- Drive alignment with our organization on technology / product conceptualization and go-to-market strategies. Prioritize new product programs and lifecycle management initiatives, based on opportunities or threats, in collaboration with internal functions.
- Work with Program management, Engineering, Manufacturing and Sourcing for new product development and on-time launch.
- Manage the development and support of product documentation, including marketing bulletins, collateral and product training materials.
- Own the North America sales and profitability for product line, and ensure targets are met. Participate in and lead executive-level product line reviews; work with appropriate functions to resolve operational, supply chain and/or quality challenges related to product line.
- Collaborate with other Copeland world areas and business groups on the growth, profitability, resource utilization, innovation areas and general planning of product line.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Marketing, or Business
- Minimum five (5) years related work experience in product management, project management, marketing, sales, or engineering
- Proven track record in leading and operating with an entrepreneurial and holistic mindset, with accountability and autonomy
- Strong analytical abilities to use data to develop strategies and make decisions in a time sensitive manner
- Competencies to quickly turn ideas or strategy into action, operate in a customer-centric way, take calculated risks, and drive results through others
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and effectively communicate and present information to customers, stakeholders, and executive management
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools, and high degree of organizational skills

- Master's degree in Business Administration
- Ten (10) or more years of related work experience in product management, project management, marketing, sales, or engineering
- Experience in the HVACR industry, working directly with original equipment manufacturers, designers/consultants, wholesalers, contractors, and/or end-user customers
- Expertise in product portfolio planning and product development processes, from discovery to testing and launch
- Strong financial modeling and forecasting skills
- Commercial development and marketing expertise in B2B environments, and track record of driving business growth
