www.erthos.com .Reporting directly to our Director of Supply Chain, the Supply Chain Specialist position will play a pivotal role in driving informed decision-making processes by providing accurate, insightful, and data-driven forecasts and plans. This role requires a meticulous individual with strong analytical skills, extreme attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess the capability to collaborate effectively across various departments. Successful candidates should possess a positive attitude, strong willingness to learn, adapt to changing industry and company level demands, and excellent communication skills both to internal and external customers.
This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional capable of analyzing existing processes, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing solutions that enhance the performance of the supply chain and procurement function. Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as a primary or secondary point of contact between the company and its suppliers.
- Source and procure products and services by identifying qualified vendors, evaluating their capabilities, and negotiating favorable pricing and payment terms. Negotiate contracts to include pricing, terms, and lead times to achieve the total value of ownership.
- Create and maintain vendor records, set up new suppliers within the purchasing system, monitor supplier performance, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Develop and improve procurement tools such as forms, procedures, and work instructions to streamline internal processes.
- Convert purchase requisitions and sales order requirements into purchase orders while ensuring optimal cost, quality, and lead time.
- Oversee and continuously improve supply chain operations to deliver products and services to customers in an efficient, cost-effective manner.
- Maintain up-to-date supplier documentation and ensure all records remain accurate, valid and up to date.
- Collaborate with product development, engineering, and manufacturing teams to identify top-quality vendors and manufacturers for “ErthCompatible” products used in our Earth Mount Solar projects.
- Regularly engage with suppliers to ensure that warranties, delivery schedules, and service terms align with company requirements.
- Partner with key business stakeholders to ensure all sourced materials and services fully support the company’s operational and strategic objectives.
- Monitor and analyze market trends and price fluctuations of required products and services, providing timely updates and insights to internal stakeholders.
- Support logistics requests as required.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers, internal teams, and support staff to promote effective communication and collaboration.
- Attend meetings and collaborate effectively across different organizational levels, sites, functions, businesses, and regions.
- One (1) to three (3) years of previous experience in procurement, or supply chain operations.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Experience in Excel creating complex macros and formulas, utilizing VBA, conditional formatting, pivot tables, advanced charting, forecasting models, cash flow models, and other advanced Excel functions is highly preferred.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience effectively prioritizing tasks in a fast-moving environment, with the ability to pivot as needed when priorities quickly change.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle) is a plus.
- Willingness to work occasional nights or weekends to support production schedules or special projects.
- The ability to occasionally lift and carry moderately heavy objects of up to 25 pounds if assisting the Supply Chain team with Erthos’s annual inventory count in our Chandler, Arizona R&D facility.
This is a remote position, but all candidates must be willing and able to occasionally travel for events such as Erthos employee gatherings, inventory counts, and occasional trade shows or trainings. You may be required to occasionally travel at the last minute throughout the U.S. if the need arises. However, travel is not expected to exceed more than 10% of your work time.
- Our base salary will be commensurate with your level of experience. We are targeting a base salary of between $65,000 - $75,000.
