Responsibilities

- Source and purchase materials for high-voltage projects and operations

- Evaluate bids and negotiate optimal terms with suppliers

- Align procurement activities with technical specifications and project timelines

- Support engineering and project teams with market insights and sourcing strategies

- Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery or quality issues

- Maintain accurate records in SAP and ensure timely PO processing

- Adapt corporate contracts to meet local business needs

- Collaborate across teams to ensure procurement excellence

- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines

Qualifications

- University degree in commerce or technical field (electrotechnical preferred)

- 5+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing

- Strong knowledge of SAP (Material Management)

- Familiarity with high-voltage equipment and substation construction

- Excellent negotiation, organization, and communication skills

- Bilingual in English and French

- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada
